THE "TURTLE BOY"

Didier and his mother
6 year old Didier became known as "Turtle Boy"  because of an 11-pound mole he had grown around his torso which resembled the shell of a turtle. And as it required regular maintenance, he had never been to school and was missing out on much of his childhood. People in the village he lives avoid any contact with him and his family saying his mother came out while she was pregnant on the the day an eclipse occurred and that is why the child was cursed!
Doctors diagnosed him as having congenital melanocytic nevus, a rare mole condition. Luckily, their concerns that the mole might be malignant were laid to rest. Even better for the young boy, doctors determined they would be able to surgically remove the mole.
Months later, the surgery to remove the mole was performed successfully.
